This is my avatar to the mediated world that surrounds me. It is the legacy that I have built, and it is the image my country knows me by: Bradley Vincent, the Mauritian swimming champion, the first Mauritian to have ever swam in a semi-final at the Commonwealth Games, the first Mauritian to have ever swam under 50 seconds for the 100m Freestyle and the only Mauritian to have swam 22 seconds for the 50m Freestyle. I hope that through my actions and achievements, the future generations of swimmers will remember my exploits and that small islands can achieve big dream. Thus the connection that can be made with my avatar to this statement is that the picture shows me winning my race at the international event called the Commonwealth Games 2018, the name of the even can easily be seen on the diving block in the picture. Furthermore with regards to my avatar I want to prove that a professional swimming career is possible in Mauritius. Thus after 5 years together, my Sponsor Phoenix Bev and I have come a long way in the history making of swimming Mauritius. When looking at the surface of what has been achieved one could say it looks all one sided, but when you put the figures and the facts together it reveals a completely different story. Without the help of phoenix beverages in 2016 and 2017 my swimming career would have been a disaster. After many political unjust maneuvers that were made against my coach and I in 2016 I managed to keep my coach in Mauritius with the monthly financial support I was receiving from Phoenix Beverage, without it I would have had no coach for the whole duration of the Olympic year 2016. But because of the trust Phoenix beverage has placed within me we were able to do the Job and have a successful Olympic Year.
